Retama Springs Unit 4 and Retama Parkway were bid with multiple contractors in December
of 2005. Yantis was awarded the $3 million dollar package and started construction
in late January of 2006.
Unit 4 consisted of the excavation of over 90,000 cy, sewer installation, water
installation, drainage installation and almost 18,000 sy of street construction.
Yantis paved this sizable project in three months, almost a full four months ahead
of the schedule called out by Centex Homes.
Retama Parkway consisted of street construction, water installation and drainage
construction. The drainage construction contained a large box culvert that was cast-in-place
by Yantis Company. This phase of the project was built simultaneously with Unit
4 and was paved two months after Unit 4. Retama Parkway was built three months ahead
of the schedule called out by Centex Homes.
Since Unit 4 and Retama Parkway, Yantis has gone on to construct Retama Unit 3 and
was recently awarded the construction of Retama Unit 5. The Retama projects were
the start of a great partnership with Centex Homes. Since Retama, Yantis has gone
on to construct seventeen additional projects for Centex as of 2007.
