Safety Program

Yantis Company is committed to taking a proactive approach to safety. As part of this program, Yantis employs a full-time safety officer that reports directly to President Matthew Yantis. The main focus of our program is our belief that no accidents are ever acceptable. Our goal is to have an injury-free workplace.

Weekly Management Meeting
Each member of Yantis Company’s executive team is an active participant in the safety program. Once a week, the safety team meets with the executives to discuss all of the performed inspections. Any accidents, safety violations, or injuries are required to be reported to this committee the week of the incident. During the meeting all parties involved will discuss the issue at hand and explore “lessons learned.”
Inspections
Yantis Company’s safety officer inspects multiple projects each day for compliance with the company’s safety policies. Complete OSHA style inspections are performed on each project and the findings are sent to the executive team to review. In addition, Yantis employs three independent consultants who visit five random job sites per week.
Training
Yantis Company maintains a safety website that includes a database displaying all training sessions attended by each employee, as well as any training deficiencies that need to be remedied. Yantis Company requires that all foremen, superintendents, and project managers have OSHA 10 hour certification. Training standards are maintained for each foreman and employee of Yantis Company depending on the type of work performed.
Yantis Company maintains a zero tolerance policy relating to suspected drug or alcohol use at a Yantis jobsite.
